جملات حمایت کننده یا supporting sentences بعد از تاپیک سنتنس یا Topic Sentenceمی آیند. این جملات می توانند:
A. پاراگراف های پیش رو را بخوانید. هر جمله ای که تاپیک سنتنس یا Topic Sentence را حمایت نمی کند خط بزنید.

Ants are strange insects. Like all insects, they have six legs. Each
leg has three joints. Yesterday, I saw an ant. The legs of ants are very
strong, which help ants run very quickly. If a

The new century has brought big changes in communication. Cell
phones are small enough to carry in your pocket. Videophones let you see the person you are
talking to on the phone.
Tiny hand-size computers know your favorite subjects. The Internet
is everywhere.
جملات جمع بندی یا concluding sentences
آخرین جمله در یک پاراگراف اغلب جمله جمع بندی یا concluding sentences است. این جمله ایده تاپیک سنتنس یا Topic Sentence را تکرار می کند.
به یاد داشته باشید تمام پاراگراف ها جملات جمع بندی یا concluding sentences ندارند.
B. پاراگراف های پیش رو را بخوانید. کدام یک جمله جمع بندی یا concluding sentence دارد؟
Energy is important. Without it, we would have a harder time because
most of our activities like cooking a dinner, heating a house, lighting a
street, keeping a hospital open, running a factory all require energy. It
is thus at the heart of everybody’s life.
C. جملات پیش رو را مرتب کنید. سپس آن ها را در ردفی درست بنویسید تا یک پاراگراف را شکل دهید.
The Solar System consists of the Sun, Moon and Planets. The Sun is the largest member of the Solar System. In order of distance from the Sun, the planets are Mercury, Venus,
Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. The Sun is at the centre of the Solar System and these
planets revolve around it.
D. در زیر جملات یک پاراگراف در ردیف نامرتب قرار دارند. تشخیص دهید آیا جملات تاپیک سنتنس (T)، جملات حمایتی (S) یا جملات جمع بندی (C) هستند.

b) They also cause rain. (S)
c) They take carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and fill it
with oxygen. (S)
d) In short, the trees are the best friends of man. (C)
e) They supply us with many necessary things of everyday
life. (S)

E. حالا شما قراره یک پاراگراف درباره یادگیری یک زبان جدید بنویسید. این مراحل را دنبال کنید:
Try to write a good topic sentence.
Learning a new language can help you facilitate your path toward finding jobs and living more in comfort.
Generate at least three supporting sentences.
1. Almost all of the jobs in today's world would require you to know a second language mostly English.
2. A second language also provides the opportunity for you to work even internationally.
3. Aside from finding jobs, knowing a second language can help you communicate more easily with others and also receive more information compared to someone who knows only one language.
Write a good concluding sentence.
Therefore, a second language can provide you with a vast amount of comfort whether that would be finding jobs or communicating with other people.

Sport to humans is like oil to the gears in a car.
There are different kinds of sports, such as tennis, soccer, etc. all of which can help you have a healthy body.
Physically and structurally speaking, sports can help you have perfect body muscles and bones.
Not only that but also it can help the integral part of your body which is the heart. By doing different kinds of sports you can have a healthier heart which will keep beating.
Generally speaking, sports can help you have a running body which works just fine.
G. به عکس پیش رو نگاه کنید و سپس یک پاراگراف برای توصیف آن بنویسید.
Iran, with the capital of Tehran, is a vast country that borders six countries on the east, west, and north.
On the north Iran borders Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Turkmenistan. We also have the Caspian Sea there.
On the east, we have Afghanistan and Pakistan.
On the west, we have Turkey and Iraq.
On the south side, we also have the Persian Gulf.
All of these neighbors and the seas show the vast area of Iran's country.
